HeartWorks 2026 was conceived as a circle of giving—where artists and patrons came together to support a wide range of causes. HeartWorks was not just an exploration of art; it allowed us to find the ‘art’ within ‘heart’, and to express, give, and transform.

The live exhibition in partnership with IF.BE, and IRAM Art was curated by Satyajit Dave and presented works by 75+ talented artists, featuring artworks spanning Masters, Contemporary Art, Tribal and Folk Art and Photography. The proceeds from each purchase went towards supporting 11 women-led NGOs that empowered children’s and seniors’ welfare, women’s empowerment, animal protection, rural development, and environmental care.

The live exhibition also showcased the India debut of NEW DAWN II, an interactive mural by the creative duo of Howareyoufeeling.studio, Doyel Joshi, and Neil Ghose Balser, in collaboration with Grammy-nominated artist Anoushka Shankar.

Founded by Falguni Sheth-Kapadia and co-founded by Rachana Darda, the Mumbai edition, co-created with Shilpa Bhagat and formally opened by Genelia Deshmukh (née D’Souza), marked the beginning of a sustained philanthropic platform rooted in creative expression, with more HeartWorks editions set to travel soon to other metros across India and abroad.

Part of the launch of HeartWorks 2026, Mumbai Edition, NEW DAWN II is an interactive art experience by Mumbai’s Howareyoufeeling.studio duo, Doyel Joshi and Neil Ghose Balser, in collaboration with Grammy-nominated musician Anoushka Shankar.

Debuting in India at IF.BE, the installation invites spontaneous drawings from 3500+ children from local schools, interpreting “a new dawn” as a collective expression of universality—a living mural of imagination, emotion, and renewal. Each drawing becomes part of a larger body of work that the artists are presenting globally, contributing to a shared vision of transformation and the hope we all carry.

“Working with My Open Muse, HeartWorks, and Anoushka Shankar allows us to bring this belief into a living, breathing form. In gathering these drawings, we honour the idea that creativity belongs to everyone—each child or participant that draws—and that when people imagine a new dawn together, they also imagine a new future together.”

Falguni Sheth-Kapadia founded My Open Muse and its first initiative, Heartworks, with a dream of using art and social impact to create meaningful change.

“When Falguni first shared the idea of HeartWorks with me, it felt like all my years of artistic and community work were leading to this moment. HeartWorks is not just a fundraiser; it’s an offering—an invitation to be part of something larger than ourselves. I’m excited to see this grow into a tradition of joyful giving through art.”
- Rachana Darda, Co-Founder, HeartWorks

“With a background in leadership and community upliftment, I’m proud to collaborate on this collective effort—one rooted in empathy and real, measurable change for women-led NGOs.”
